YORK UNIVERSITY'S GLENDON CAMPUS
York University’s Glendon Campus was looking for an opportunity to create something more unique than the traditional virtual tours that existed already. They wanted to go above and beyond to help their educational facility stand out online. To accomplish their vision, they partnered with Odyssey3D who scanned the whole campus using Matterport's VR technology. Odyssey3D also captured aerial video and photos that could be embedded into the 3D to enhance the overall user experience.
As a prospective student, you can now view their customized and interactive 3D virtual tour experience online on their website. How fast can you deliver a commercial real estate media package?
Standard real estate photography can often be delivered by the next business day. Matterport 3D virtual tours are often available within 24 to 48 hours after capture. Video, drone, floor plans, and larger commercial projects vary depending on scope, approvals, square footage, and editing requirements.
Can you handle large commercial spaces?
Yes. Odyssey3D has captured more than 40,000,000 square feet of space, including projects ranging from small units to very large commercial, institutional, and industrial properties.
How long does a 3D Tour take to capture on site?
Depends on the square footage, type of facility that we are capturing and the required detail for the given scan purpose. Scan can last from an hour to days! If you let us know the above details - we will be able to give you a time estimate.
When can I get started?

Do you offer custom bulk pricing?
Yes, we work with a lot of companies with high volume of projects and we customize our solution and offering based on the volume and frequency of use.
Can you shoot drone media?
Yes, where the location and operating conditions allow it. Some areas have controlled airspace or property-specific restrictions, so Odyssey3D reviews feasibility, pilot requirements, aircraft registration, airspace, property permissions, and required approvals before the shoot.
What is your service area?
For commercial 3D services - we cover all of Canada and certain US cities. For Photography & Videography - we mostly cover Southern Ontario. But we have travelled and organized projects outside of the province.
Do I need a permit to film a commercial property?
Film permits may not apply to real estate advertising in the same way they apply to commercial productions. Still, shoots using public property, streets, parks, or drones require specific approvals, permissions, and insurance. Projects contained entirely on private property without public disruption generally do not require City approval, though reviewing each shoot before production is highly recommended to avoid compliance issues.
Who owns the photos and videos after the shoot?
In Canada, the creator is generally the first owner of copyright unless the work is created under an employment arrangement or ownership is transferred by written assignment. For commercial real estate media, clients typically receive a written usage license that explains how the assets may be used across websites, listing platforms, brochures, email campaigns, social media, investor decks, and other approved marketing channels.
